ATHERTON RESIDENCE
A proper Georgian House on a perfectly flat site at the end of a lane. This classically proportioned house was carefully studied to ensure every detail was correct and implemented just as though it were built back then. The traditional floor plan was re imagined to allow for the kitchen and family room to be central to the lives of this family and not detract from the integrity of the design. Materials reflect the quality and rigor of the desire for a house that will last and complement the historical intent. The project was featured in Architectural Digest and awarded the Julia Morgan Award by the Institute of Classical Art and Architecture for new houses over 5,000 SF.
